How did you come to be an entrepreneur?
As I was born on the 1st date, it was never an option for me to work under others. Such people are usually independent by nature. After working for quite some time with SMEs, I realized that my potential was better as an entrepreneur, even though being an entrepreneur far trickier than doing a job.
How is it different from other companies?
As we value people’s creative instincts and innovation, a lot of freedom is given to people who can stand out from others. We never compromise on the quality we deliver. It is imperative to adhere to stringent quality standards for streamlining the work process and the its output. We have a creative studio, that is a creative Den.
Throw some light on your business and its offerings.
We believe in curating versatile designs that impart complete freedom to our clients, irrespective if they are hiring us for only drawings and design or just Design and Design supervision. Precision and detailing are the core of our work process. Everything from the site measurements to design concepts, to 3D renderings, to material selection and styling is taken care of. We are good at it.
How challenging is it for a woman to start/ or associate with any company? /Have you faced any unusual situations doing business in India as a female entrepreneur?
When we first began, dealing with contractors and other labour forces was quite a challenge. Most of the workforce was male; it was difficult for them to take instructions from a woman leader. I faced quite a bit of hardships as a woman entrepreneur in the market. While showcasing myself as the turnkey contracting agency, I witnessed client’s preference for male counter parts.
How do you achieve work-life balance?
Frankly, I am unable to retain a work-life balance. I am a workaholic.
Did you have a mentor to guide you through your professional journey?
Unfortunately, I had no dedicated mentor while setting up my business. There was no one to guide me on entrepreneurship. I have come along a long way in learning every bit about entrepreneurship. Considering my challenges in the past, I have assigned mentors for all departments in my company, such as marketing, design and even sales.
How are entrepreneurship and working women important for India?
I have a close connection to this question, and I am a real entrepreneur. In fact, that’s what defines my personality. Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in defining the country’s economy. It allows me to work on aspects like innovation, creating new job opportunities, enhancing economic growth and helping in the country’s development.
Working women are an inspiration to the female population. In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of women’s participation in the workforce, and the Indian government has taken steps to support women’s employment through various initiatives, such as the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign and the Maternity Benefit Act, which provides maternity leave and other benefits to working mothers.
Until women show their contribution to wealth creation and participation in economic growth, they cannot receive the same respect as that of male counterparts.
Define a perfect business leader. What are the qualities you think a great leader possesses?
Here are a few important qualities that every business leader must possess. They are explained in detail below:
- A good business leader must be a visionary with a clear goal for the organization’s growth and inspiration to the entire workforce.
- Integrity is another quality of a good business leader who must learn to act with ethics and honesty and figure out what’s right for the customers, stakeholders and employees.
- Taking into account other person’s feelings, needs, and perspectives may, whether it be clients, employees, or stakeholders, is crucial to imbibe a positive attitude in the workforce.
- Another aspect to consider is having strong and excellent decision-making skills in even trivial situations. Developing plans and effectively executing them is of utmost importance.
- Taking responsibility for any decisions or actions is also crucial. Taking charge of your actions helps in deciding the failure or success of the company.
- In short, a good business leader should be able to motivate, inspire and lead others by setting an example and what is right.
What is the road map of your organization?
A clear roadmap for the Aesthos Interior Design Studio is creating a good brand identity and making a portfolio with influences from various parts of the world. Developing collaboration and creating networks with professionals globally and offering them exemplary customer service can help create a loyal client base.

What advice would you give to other businesswomen who want to thrive in a male-dominated industry?
I recommend all businesswomen not to get demotivated by competition. Take help in business by having a partner instead of combatting it alone.
Are you a decision-maker & risk taker?
Yes, I am a prompt decision-maker and risk-taker as well. Though, I believe in taking calculated risks.
Describe the most memorable incident of your professional life.
I always remember my first-ever client. They were a couple who asked me to design their living room. I attempted to a minimalist design and presentation. After the complete presentation, the client’s asked, “but where is the design?”.

I’d Like to describe myself as a Design Diva, who is innovative, very organized, and great at planning and execution.
If you had one piece of advice for rising entrepreneurs just starting out, what would it be?
I want to advise getting a good business coach at the outset. Business Coaches are a boon.
How would you like people to remember you and your company?
I wish to always be remembered for doing aesthetically pleasing, sensory specific designs that feel good and not only look good. I like always to create an experience that involves all the senses of a human being.
What is your favourite metaphor for describing entrepreneurship?
Entrepreneurship can be compared to setting sail on a journey into the unknown. Like setting sail, entrepreneurship involves leaving the safety and security of the shore and venturing out into uncharted waters with the hope of discovering new opportunities and destinations.
